saint patrick used to hang out on this site back in the 400s and baptise converts to christianity at a local well, and a church has existed here ever since. so in 1192, the normans built a cathedral here, and dedicated it to saint patrick. rebuilt in the early 1200s, this is now the national cathedral of ireland. floor tiles guarded by the knights of saint patrick.
