there's something nice about the idea of living in a small home in a country town in the forties and fifties. i imagine this guy was so excited to buy a brand new ford falcon in the early sixties. a well made car that probably cost a fair bit of money. he looked after that car, washed it every weekend, polished it, never took it out in the winter. he was a probably a little older than his twenties when he bought it, so he never thrashed it. he looked after it. and so because it was well made and cared for, it has lasted... forty-five years. he's had it more than half his life. he still takes the car out on the summer weekend afternoons. and his old dog, his best friend, joins him every time.
