...courage, strength and happiness - this green darner rests on a spring-fed pond in the middle of town. and yes, i know it looks blue. it is a green darner. darners are the largest of dragonflies, native to the northern hemisphere. they feed mainly on mosquitoes and other such smaller insects. dragonflies are a symbol of courage, strength and happiness [and unfortunately in romania they symbolize horses possessed by the devil, but this wasn't taken in romania and they're gorgeous, so let's just go with the positive attributes shall we?] look at it - it is perfection in nature.
