aleje jerozolimskie

the main east-west axis of warsaw - art nouveau and modernist architecture destroyed and replaced with the soviet gift - the palace of science and culture. but still, a bustling thoroughfare that black and white can capture with such interest. black and white and a little bit of that continental early morning fog smog. a brisk breeze keeps locals bundled in their faux fur coats and their warm hats, gloves and scarves. warsaw poland has adopted western europe, but i can imagine those days of the warsaw uprising, and i can appreciate the polish home army's efforts to rid warsaw of nazi scum.
